Oxygen injection during hydrogen peroxide treatment of salmon

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used against parasitic infestations by salmon lice as well as amoeboid gill parasites. The latter has resulted in significant damages during the last two years in salmon farms in the Shetlands and mainland Scotland. Utilisation of H2O2 takes place in sea cages enclosed with tarpaulin or in wellboats.
